Reminders to self:

Remember God is where you aren't yet. He goes before. He is. And He will be. He sees the finished product and is faithful to walk with you until it is completed.

So you don't need to give up when He is there--waiting for you. & He is here--walking alongside of you to get you to where you are going.

Remember that He is who He says He is. He is the same yesterday. Today. & forever. And if He is the same, then His promises that were true then--are true now. And if His promises are true now, then you can stand firm in this truth--He who promised is faithful to fulfill His purpose for you.

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Hebrews 13:8

"The LORD will fulfill His purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever; DO not forsake the work of Your hands." Psalm 138:8

Remember that this life and this walk--are a part of the battle and bigger picture. You have to fight for this. You have to fight to acknowledge His presence. He gives you what you need for victory. To march into battle with the armor on (Ephesians 6). Let the Holy Spirit lead you.

Fear says, I am fleeing. Boldness declares: I will take down this giant. When you don't know what to do--just do the next thing. Take the next step with Jesus.

These are the truths I am reminding my heart of tonight: His promises are bigger than our problems. His purpose is bigger than our plans.

He will fulfill His purpose for me.

When your feelings become stronger than the truth--read read read the Scriptures.

Sometimes God calls you by a different name. Sometimes He gives you a purpose, before your circumstances change to match.

"We call Abraham, Father, not because he got God's attention by living like a saint, but because God made something out of Abraham when he was a nobody...Abraham was first called Father and then became a Father because he dared to trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing. When everything was hopeless, Abraham believed anyways, deciding to live not on the basis of what he saw he couldn't do but on what God said he would do. And so he was made father of a multitude of peoples." Romans 4:17-18 The Message

Even when you can't see signs of hope--hope anyways, and dare to trust God to do what only He can do.

Heart, if ever you feel like you want to give up, just remember Jesus.
